Now have a few more items cleaned up ready for the EA81 turbo installation.
Cross member is now painted up, Dump pipe has been cleaned and painted ( flame proof ) , and starting to clean up the WAIC. Speaking of which, does anyone have one they dont need. We need another for a different car.

Took the turbo off the 81 today and started to clean it up. More than likely finish pulling it apart tomorrow and finish cleaning it.

New tappet cover gaskets and a sump gasket have been brought and fitted. Also cleaned up the sump and gave it a fresh coat of color.

Poor Steve was a busy boy today. Not only did he work on the brumby , he also modded a L series ( i think , but not sure ) alternator bracket to suit a M.Y. Since the ea81 is running a E.A 81T power steering pump, it uses the original alternator bracket mounts. So we opted for this way to fix the prob. The exhaust studs didn't look the healthiest , so we replaced them and the nuts and got extra's for the turbo and dump pipe. And naturally got new gaskets as well.

A little more done over the last couple of days by Steve. We had 3 engine cross over pipes for the 81t , but all had some kind of damage. Steve got to them and rebuilt a good one. Even added a heat shield for the sump.

While Ross and myself replaced a clutch in a L series, Steve wheeled some of his magic. We decided to try to fit L series struts in an M.Y. The reason for it was, the L series strut tops are bearinged and have the off set shocks which allow for a better ride. We got a set of L series strut lift blocks and the top of an M.Y. strut lift block and Steve worked his magic.
