Hi all, couldn't see an interiors forum so I'm putting this here;

The door cards in my L series are severely suffering from a combination of hard life, UV exposure and ingrained dirt.

The stuff that's peeling appears to be a thin vinyl layer on top of 5mm of low density foam, on top of some pretty solid plastic mould.

My thought is to remove ALL off the foam/vinyl from the plastic moulding and replace it with marine carpet or something similarly hard-wearing, but that won't be as harsh on my elbow.

Thoughts, experiences, suggestions?

another set of door cards ? I've chucked out four or five sets in the past ...surely someone has a decent one ? Put out a want thread

Will do steptoe, not sure how common they are in good nick, but I'm not fussed on colour so might get lucky.
