RS Wagon finally here

Well my RS Wagon finally arrived in Perth from Melbourne last Friday. A member from a rotary forum brought it over on his trailer for $600.
Caught a bus down to Perth and drove it home on temporary permit.
Put a new battery hold down clamp on it, cleared the windscreen washer spray nozzles, spent 6 hours fixing the tail lights and power windows (only to find that neither were broken - the tail light was just the park light switch halfway between off and on and the window turned out to be the power window lock switch had somehow been switched on grrrrr).
Took it for inspection and the only thing he picked was a split CV boot, so a quick trip home, replace the boot for $12 and its rego'd.
Total cost so far $2612
Its not in the best condition so a gradual restoration is planned. Will be building an EJ22 with RS heads, using my V5 STi RA box and diff that was going to go in my Brumby and the 18" ROH rims that were also for the Brumby, a set of King Spring coilovers that were funnily enough also destined for the Brumby, a set of 4 pots and rotors and a front lip which is on its way from NSW.

Yeah I had a choice of state plates or CGG but I don't really care cos it will get personal plates eventually.
And its a genuine RS so its manual.
Yeah still got the POS Outback - do you want it ?

So you're going to build up an EJ22 as a turbo? This could be interesting!
All stock or got some mods?
I hope you're keeping the factory RS rims!
Cheers

Just going to put a set of RS Heads on bog stock EJ22 with a TD05 turbo and RS manifolds. Hopefully just get that little bit more midrange and bottom end - its only a daily driver after all.
Yeah I'm keeping the RS rims - in the shed !! Got a set of 3piece ROH Strada rims to go on as soon as I can afford tyres

This isn't the one that was out in the hail is it?
The '22 should be a good bit of fun, if not to drive, at least to build it for the experience!
Cheers

hmmmm I hardly think throwing a set of heads on an old bottom end could be called 'building'
If it works then I will probably build another one properly and put it in the Brumby instead of the rotary............

Too many other things are going to get in the way before I even get a chance to think about doing anything to it

Too many little things wrong with it and I can't live with those cos I'm a perfectionist.
Also I keep spending money on it and I'm supposed to be building a Brumby not a Liberty.
And I want to get rid of it and the Outback and get a decent reliable car - maybe something with less than 300,000kms !!
