G'day everyone,

Next weekend i'm picking up a 1986 Brumby with running gear from a 2001 STI Forester, took it for a test drive & it's quick & fun ! also looks pretty standard which is how i'll keep it, sleeper style.

had 2 Subarus before, a 1999 Forester that was so reliable & had no trouble at all ( untill mrs wrote it off...) & a 1998 WRX wagon that was nothing but trouble.

looking forward to browsing the forum & finding info & also sharing / seeing cool subaru's.

cheers ! chinski :D

Hey Tigger is back

As for the Brumby, looks very clean. Got more photos of it?

One thing to watch is the brakes, they are 4 stud hubs so much smaller than any STI brakes or even WRX and wont have the repeated stopping power. Is the rear discs or drums?

i only have the carsales photos at the moment so here they are.

it has the Forester STI dash, steering wheel, auto transmission selector, has STI engine, trans, rear diff & inner CVs, outer CV's still brumby, 4 stud brumby discs on the front ( i will be looking to upgrade these ) & L series turbo discs on the rear, 2 inch lift i'm going to remove so it's back to standard heaight, not lowered just not lifted, i already have a bumper to replace the bullbar, also it has had a respray in the gold which looks good i think.

i also want to try to paint the rear muffler or dull down the chrome so it doesn't stand out so much.
