Hi all,
Hope everyone is well.
So after many years and many cars and always being a bit envious of WRX owners,
I finally have one.
Not an STI but a 2022 WRX Ts Wagon in WR Blue ,this being the newest car I have ever owned
and the last car I will ever own I think.
Gotta say it is a very nice car.
It has more buttons and settings than i know what to do with but of course the main
one i push every time i drive it is "Autostart/stop OFF"
Bloody annoying and i sort of know why cars have it but really? Just No.
I am finding the boxster engine as you would all know a unique little beast.
Just different the way it does things compared to the inlines.
It goes quite well too with a bit of paddle shift in manual mode or just sinking the boot.
Yes it has the dreaded CVT but feels ok.
I am gathering you just need to look after them.
The car looks great to me as is but would love to do some aftermarket wheels but warranty issues worry me.
I am very happy to be in the flat four club no matter what
and I will let you know how it all goes from now.
Cheers.
Subi box finally ticked.

G’day SubWag!
Sounds like a ripper Subi! Not many on the forum these days and even less enjoying the newer subaru models!
I’m still rocking the EA and EJ engine series let alone the FA/FB and whatever they’re producing now!
I doubt changing the rims and tyres will effect your warranty - you could always inquire with your dealership, just try to get their verdict in writing if it’s in your favour for a change of rims and tyres.
I also agree with all the buttons etc. Bring back the old days of keys, a stez (with actual knobs) and cruise control. That’s all you need without all this internet connectivity stuff. Distraction central right there! My 5c on that one anyway.
Cheers
Bennie

Cheers Bennie.
Yep they sure are overkill on the electronics but that's just how they are now.
I have never driven a Subaru before so cant compare to another one.
I can however compare to numerous older V8's and to the car I just put in shed
which is a 2004 Audi S-Line Turbo Manual 1.8L. Wagon.
Great old car but old.
This new Subi is ridiculous in its interior finish and the way it goes and drives.
I feel it's too good for me.lol.
Cheers,
Shane.
