Aux input mod - Instructables

I don't know if this has been mentioned before (I'll delete it if it has - man my memory has been bad lately) but I found this on instructables a month or so ago, and it works!

My solder job on the 3.5mm jack is a bit dodgy, but it does work well. I would like to figure out how to commandeer the cd stacker button rather than use the switch - but I'd need to work out a latching circuit that trips off when another button is pushed. And I'd have to disassemble the head unit even more... I smoked a track doing this as it is, so I ended up tinning the right sized wires and inserting them into the right sockets in the plug (after I repaired the pcb track) . Should have done that to start with.

Anyway, here's the link. http://www.instructables.com/id/Add_an_ ... ad_Unit_I/

nice.

I did a similar mod for people with pioneer head units when i was younger. Sounds so much better than an FM modulator

With the Pioneer one... it's a bit of a worry the amount of times he suggests you could blow up your Ipod. But very interesting... thanks.
