vibrating window winders!!!

Hey all just wondering if anyone has the same problems in their L series,
i have front and rear speakers. and the window wipers on the front doors vibrate (only sometimes) when music is turned up a little bit, it sounds like the speakers are shit, but its actually the little window winders handles vibrating from the sound, i've put some blue tack and wound it in their, that worked temporarily but only for so long. anyone had the problem before? or have a soltion? cheers.

get the aftermarket ally winders. they work well and look the goods

actually just did mine this arvo as they clashed with the spacers for the 6x9s haha.

I bought new genuine ones - fixed that problem good and proper.

A bit of string, wound around with a slip knot will achieve the desired result..(between the knob and the handle).Easy to replace also

Mmm so i guess its happened with a couple of people.
Fang: by genuine ones do you mean suby winders? if so how much and where from?
those alloy ones look sweet, but i just want something plain thatll match in with the stock interior.

Yep I do.

Got DNA 6" speakers in my doors and as soon as I get any bass I have to hold my window winder down to stop the vibrations.

Where did you guys buy your aftermarket ones from? and how much?

I assume Repco and Supercheap sell them

Yeh someguy, thats exactly! what i have to do. sometimes they dont vibrate and other times they vibrate like a biatch.
I still havent got around to fixing them, im gonna try the string idea as im not too keen on the look of those aftermarket ones.

lol I just took some off a VN commodore and whacked em on.

Only temporary though because they are white and my door panels are blue :P

Will do until I can get around to going to an autoparts store (fingers crossed I can find some under $20, CBF paying more than that for window cranks)

Never gave this any thought but I just remembered both mine are siliconed on as the bloke who owned the car before me broke the winders and they kept falling off so I put a small dab on and hadn't realised till now. I have issues with the glass in the mirrors vibrating and creating distortion but the way to fix the winders mirrors e.t.c. properly is fit a good quality sound deadner i.e. second skin or dynamat!

I got my genuine winders from a Subaru dealer who ordered them - they arent cheap at $35 each though!

I did the string trick as posted above too - I used wool though so it would expand in the joint.

Worked well for several years.

Fling the winders and fit touring wagon electrics. No more vibrations.

silicone will fix it good an proper. dont have the problem myself. 20yearold standard paper speakers dont make too much bass. lol.
