GME 2watt hand held

Post by Thalass » Fri Sep 25, 2009 2:16 pm

Hey guys. I'm considering buying this UHF CB hand held next pay day, as the missus wants to go out and about on the highways and it'd be useful off road too.

Has anyone used it here? Is it any good? It looks ok, and is a good price. Does it have a hand mic plug?

I've used and abused GME gear at work, and it always works well.

Carry a spare set of batteries though, because cheap handhelds tend to chew through them, or you can make a cig lighter adapter.

One of the accessories listed for it on the Prestige site is a handheld mic.

Ah I didn't see that bit. That's good. Not that I'd use a hand mic often, but it could be useful.

I was going to get a 12v adapter for the car, but extra batteries are a good idea. Good to know GME can be abused and still work. Thanks.
