A bolt, nut and a couple of spanners has let me use these for years.
Great short cut, but not good for heavy sideways load, especially if it vibrates.
L serious, still.

Yeah, but it's a fancy tool with many other purposes, a rivnut tool only is a rivnut tool

yeah, and , it seems, if you only use lower case in the search function - rivnut nutserts - any date, post by Silverbullet, still comes up no matches

Found this on about page four of Sams recent activity :)

drill bit sizes on same kit Sam got I have sort of found imperial bits to be just a smidge closer than the 0.50 mm steps
of my metric drill bits

nutsert with ~ 4.85mm body found imperial drill bit for 3/16" is close - 4.76mm

next size up with ~5.85 mm body I grabbed a 15/64" bit - 5.95mm

and body with 6.7mm a 17/64" bit 6.75mm

and 11/32" [ 8.73mm ] for the 8.9mm body

We got one of these types for work the other day. Using m6 Stainless rivnuts the thread galled and was basically chooched after about 3. Probably fine for mild steel rivnuts.
