Baintech Dual battery kit

I bought one of these the other day and fitted it to my ute. It is nothing flash or gimmicky but it seems to work very well.

The kit comes with every thing you need to connect it all up including easy to follow instructions. Very much like other brands I suppose and time will tell how it goes.

They are a bit cheaper than other brands around.

Gav, I got it at battery world here in Caboolture. He is a mate of mine and I got a good price on it. $152 mates rates. RRP is $180

I could get a better price if we wanted to do a group order on them. Might be an idea. See if we can get 5 or 10 people that want them.

Baintech said battery world up here stocks them and are $169.00 RRP I'd be interested to see what we could get them for.

Excuse my ignorance but I cant see $80 worth of extra goods in the dual battery kit, What am I missing As I would be interested in 2! Also I couldnt get access to the data sheets!

Hey This isn't intended to be a hijak but I've been installing Dual Battery Systems for over 20 years and this is by far the best thing I've seen. Only been on the market for a few months. They are imported by BLA. (see bla. com for a distributer)

It is dual sensing, so if you have another charge source set up to your axillary battery such as a solar panel it can also top up your start battery so it works both ways.It also forces the parallel > a lot of VSRs don't but this is really only important if your aux battery is really big. But what makes this unit better (IMO) is that it can also handle vehicle starting current so you can remotely push a button on the dash and a motor in the switch turns it "on" and parallels your batteries effectively giving you a "jumpstart" if your start battery is low. Read the specs.

Also IMO they were cheap for what you get. BEP do heaps of different dual battery stuff but this is my pick. Piece of cake to install too.

the BEP stuff is good gear, as is the Redarc. Both can handle starting currents, and have override buttons, but you need to wire / fuse the secondary battery heavy enough to allow this.
