aww :( was hoping for a Solo..

they do look pretty awesome from the reviews. Might be an idea to fit one under the hood of the brumby once it's on the road.

Anyone used one of these? My Super Crap Auto compressor actually deflated my tyre after only the 3rd use. Couldnt even supply enough pressure to keep it inflated! :(

So I'm on the lookout for a new compressor but I'm on a tight budget...certainly under $100.

If you want a pump that is going to last hold off until you can afford a decent one.

I went with the ARB portable kit. cost me nearly $300 but its been worth every cent.

Hmmmm the old trap of buying and replacing el cheapo gear which ends up potentially costing you more.

You can't return the supercrap one? Maybe go in and hassle them, it's free

If El Cheapo is the go again, Aldi's got one for 80 bucks that doubles as a jump-starter too... I got myself one to try it out!

Pedro.

Yep I returned it no probs.

A portable ARB pump would be nice but a bit out of reach atm... Oh well, I'll keep looking on eBay ;)

OK, I'm leaning towards spending a little extra to get something that wont let me down in the field. I've found these:

Kinchrome 12V 72lpm 150PSI
Terrain Tamer 85lpm 150PSI
Mishto 12V 160lpm 150PSI

The Kinchrome would be my choice but its only 72lpm, the Mishto is an unknown brand but looks good & is 160lpm.

They're all $110-120.

What do others think? Any other suggestions? Budget is now under $150-

I'd go the Kinchrome for the Aus wide warranty and the fact that they use stainless valves, the plastic reid valve is usually all that gives way on these things.

Mine probably lasted about 6 outings before it died and it still sounds perfectly healthy, it just won't pump pressure, also the carry bag on that one is way better than the massive injected plastic case that most come with.

Mine is still going strong, probably used it on 8 trips since I got it in may last year, probably pulled it out about 15 times over those trips to inflate all tyres from 10-15 psi up.
