i would love to make it into a offroad machine

but other projects i would rather spend money on eg a another brumby

Really? You prefer your brumby's over the foz?

even with the brumby stock i perfer it over the foz! not for comfort or speed but just so damn cool

and very practical. i would love to eventually do a EJ conversion brumby with better seats for a everyday car and just have the foz for the weekend

Fair enough a ute is very practical. Next being a wagon as they are pretty practical too

I mainly like how for a car 11 years old my foz has all the features most new cars had stock in 2009/2010, all electrics, power everything, etc... and its very comfortable.

I do like driving my L (stock as it is) but its horribly uncomfortable for sitting in there any longer than 10mins. I am on Nurofen because its giving me an aching back! It is cool though

Is your Brumby EA81 or EA82? I find the EA82 for the most part in the L-Series goes better than my Forester, especially taking off on hills or quickly at intersections and the likes. Hows do you find the comparison?

the brumby is dead stock with the ea81, idles rough like a carby, but runs realy well, im surprised even with the 4sp how well it goes.
i have driven the ea82 and they are pretty snappy but i think thats mainly due to the gear ratio's being very close. with the closer ration gear box of the EA82 it does pick up quicker then the foz, once you get past the take off however the foz is pretty good

Those tie down points are really only good when you're being snatched in a straight line, they're not built for angled snatching...

Thats why I want to reinforce the attaching point so that even with a distribution strap I feel confident.
