My 'L' Series Wagon has all polyurethane bushes through it.
There is no real noticeable difference with the rack bushes unless the rubber ones are almost non existent then there is a huge difference. Genuine rubber ones cost between $30-$40 retail for the passenger side one only! When I inquired about the drivers side one I was told its no longer available.... (Can someone confirm?) & the Nolathane ones will set you back $20 a pair!!!!

Thanks , so at least the rack bushes are available . I think they are a good idea because under steering loads racks can move around and do silly things to toe in/out .
My front anti roll bar bushes are urethane though "specials" because my front bar is a unique for L series 24mm size .
Actually the experimental 22mm rear one disgraced itself by pulling the tabbed end out on the bars nearside forward "mount" . What was once a half circle hoop is now a right angled piece of tin plate .
Ah well back to the suspension witch-doctors tomorrow to sort it out .
If worse comes to worse we may have to remove the trailing arms and fabricate two bolt hoops strong enough to hang in there with the larger bar . The arms have to come out at some stage to remove the std 22 yr old rubber bushings and fit the new urethane ones so we'll see .

Could you please post any noticable difference after installing the urethane bushes? Have a set to install if needed, just wondering if they are worthwhile for use....i have read posts warning of damage to brackets after installing them.

Goon, go the replacement bushes... you'll not regret it and you'll not have to worry about then again. Every bush on both my L’s have been replaced with polyurethane bushes, improves ride and they’ll last for ages.

Hi all , if anyone has a brand and part number for the L series rack bushes can you let us all know .
It has been suggested to me that L series power racks may be interchangeable with early Liberty and Impreza/WRX so maybe they are a common urethane part .

Just spent the better part of 1/2 a day replacing my lower sway/stabiliser bar bushes on my 92L because of a clunking sound me thinks I traced there - not as easy as i thought.
1st - extremely tight fit, much swearing involved.
2nd - brackets wouldn't quite fit now that the bushes where straighter, so had to make the brackets holes slightly bigger - hope they don't break (only time will tell)
All in all though clunk has gone (me thinks) and so long as the brackets hold won't be worrying bout them again. Just my 1/2 a cent.
