Shock absorber oil

Need to extend the life of my front (rebuildable) shocks in the MY wagon as I have to continue to use them for the foreseeable future.
Any advice on which oil to use ?
I guess Autopro/Supercheap will have shocky oil but if there is a better alternative that will last and be effective I am interested to know.

Don't waste your time with Auto Trans fluid it is not made for suspension duties, go to a local Motorbike shop and get Fork Oil the shock oils will be too light being either 2.5 weight or 5 weight.
Fork Oils are availabable in 5-10-15-20 weights commonly I would look at either 10 weight or 15 weight as being ideal for the Subie struts.

These proper suspension fluids will not damage the seals and have anti foaming properties and handle heat better because they are designed for such work.
