difference between L series and brumby lift kits

Hi all

just got my 3inch lift kit from subi wan kenobi

on the box it says 3inch brumby kit

i own a l Series, i should i be worried or is the brumby kit the same as a L series kit?


is anyone able to tell the difference?

im happy to take photos if it helps.

post up photos of it all laid out on the floor. Should be able to tell straight away.
One give-away would be the strut top blocks for the front struts - L series strut tops have three bolts, Brumby have two.

Probably also a good idea to check with SWK too, he'll be able to verify better than anybody! :)

yep that is a brumby lift top

well that sucks I suppose you were ready to install it this weekend as your fathers day prezzie to yourself

yeah i think swk makes them to order so i think im going to have to wait a while for him to make another one :'-(

Current Project: 2007 XT 5MT Urban Grey Forester
Subaextreme Bullbar and sump guard. GME 5W Super Compact UHF. Custom Boot with Deep cycle 100A Battery, Tools storage, solar controller and low Volt shut off, with Anderson input and outputs.
Whiteline HD Adjustable front and rear sway bars
Whiteline front tower brace and ultrex rear tower brace.
235/50/17 street tires, 235/60/16 ATR's
KYB struts with Raised HD Iron Man Springs. 1"Subtle Solutions strut top blocks.
20" LED Front Light Bar

when was the last time you were in contact with mr. lift kit (SWK) ?

i'm after a 6" and i haven't heard anything back yet - whats the best way to get some info on price and how long til i can get one?

i know it says be patient in the sticky thread but im a bull at the gate and keen to get cracking on with it! :D

my 2" lift is doing my head in!

well i can only tell you my experience with it, it may have changed not sure

from payment to receiving it was a bit over a month.

pm him its the only way as far as i know.

hi

was installing my newly arrived Lift kit today

and i have a question

have i installed the rear strut spacer correctly? see photo

if thats correct all i need to do is buy some nuts and spring washers?

Yeah looks correct. The kits used to come complete with all required nuts, bolts and washers...but I guess if they are missing then you will need to buy them separately.
Make sure they are 8.8 rated ones.
