Camber Adjustment on MY05 Impreza

Post by SUBYDAZZ » Thu Nov 12, 2009 9:31 am

After a wheel alignment yesterday I got told that there is no adjustment for camber on the front end of my MY05 Impreza RS, and that'd if I needed it fixed (has fairly bad negative camber, especially on the driver's side) I could investigate looking at aftermarket adjustable strut tops or similar.

Call me sceptical, but I'm pretty sure my 92 Liberty has adjustment for camber in the front and rear end, and the set-up for the Impreza, at least in the front appears to be the same, uses an eccentric bolt where the steering knuckle meets the strut.

Can someone please confirm if there is adjustment for camber on the front or rear of this model of Impreza?

Nope, it's just standard ride height.

Bolts in the front, not adjustable in the rear.
Thou, you can get aftermarket (Whiteline) camber bolts and put them in front and rear.

Subydazz, how big is your wallet. If you want to have fun with suspension components sit down before they tell you the price. As for adjustment, how far out is it and get a second opinion as wheel alignment machines vary GREATLY depending on calibration and the general treatment of the machine itself our family owns a beaurepaires store so if you have any questions give me a pm, it may take me a few days to get to it but ill get to it lol ;)

Cheers, allan

yea, i sure they have bolts on front, check by looking for position markers on bolt head and strut.
and i thought rears had adjustable lower arms for camber and toe,at the inner bolts

Yes, yes they do, the same as my earlier model. It's a shame I had to point it out to the so-called wheel alignment expert. :) All fixed now.
