Pedders vs KYB struts

Post by TW83 » Mon Aug 03, 2009 9:26 pm

My Brumby has Pedders struts and springs fitted and my sons 83 MY Wagon has KYB with Lovells springs. His car is like a limo and the Brumby is like a cart.

Is it the struts, springs or both that make the difference ?

Yeah it's a bit of both mate.
One of my vortex uses pedders shocks and standard springs and moves like it's on rails.
Springs and shocks are just as important as each other when it comes to ride. But in saying that. As a general rule, springs control mostly hight and shocks comfort and travel.
Personally i prefer a ride thats a little firm, and shocks with a good warranty if you give your vehicle a flogging (which many of us do).

Hope i've been of some help, or at least filled a few moments of your day :)

Cheers

You don't mention if the springs are the same weight but that could be the difference. Most discerning Subi owners prefer KYBs.
