Just wondering when subaru stopped bringing out the in cab height adjustable suspension and has anyone fitted after market air bags to replace old ones I have talked to a workshop that did a forrester and although they fitted there were some clearence issues and so wouldn't advise it. But this information is namely for a series 1 or possibly 2 lib!

G'day Tex,

The done thing with these systems was to remove them at the first sign of trouble for a set of no-fuss springs...
I'm no help on when they stopped producing them or for any after market units - I am sure there'll be some around and would probabily be expensive but a lotta fun, more so than the standard setup!

Cheers

Bennie

I think the Air Bag Pnematic Suspension was stopped when the Gen2 Liberty came out. When the Liberty car range forked into two, where there was the standard road going Liberty and then there was the off road high ground clearance Liberty know as the Outback. So there was no need for the Airbag suspension anymore. Some other car manufactorers still use Airbag suspension these days, but they are kinda more for luxury European cars not for offroaders.

TBH stick with the springs they can handle more shit, doesnt cost a fourtune to fix if they stuff up and not so crashy ride feel at low speeds. Im comparing them to my old Leone's suspension to the air bag suspension in my Liberty. I loved how in the old Leone it could smooth out any sorta road surface it was on, and those stupid retarded speed humps you find around the city, like the ones on Fitzgerald street in North Perth, those are real shits.
