What size are the roll pins in L Driveshafts?

Or in other words, what size punch do I use to get them out?

whatever it is - let me know too as I have a fairly moderate leak in mine...
Dont do what I did with the rod change in a mini and use one too small...the drift is still there as we speak due to it getting jammed in the hole!!!

CPOCSM...... guess what I did? yup, same as you, although luckily it was in one of my wreckers... punch is still stuck in there!

They dont come out do they - and you know when you have gone too far....then you have to hit it one more time!;)
Well I just removed the rod change assembly from the mini and it is leaning up against the side of the garage - maybe the rust will make it drop out?

6mm or 5.5mm should do ya- very handy tool

get yourself a 6mm short punch for those very stuck ones,
and a 6mm long punch to chase them all the way through
with those 2 your life will be a much simpler place

A medium screwdriver is approx 6mm in diameter too, to save money you can hack-saw the end off and use that. Also an old tent peg can do the trick.
Naturally 6 or 6.5mm pin punch is best though!
