Ok so this is the outback setup for the moustache bar. However its only 3.5mm, a bit more than 1 1/4inch

Would it be ok to use this on the liberty and the use 2inch blocks on the rear lower arm bracket and rear cross-member?

If you do that you'll be lifting wheels all the time - no down travel with that setup, or very little at the most.

Worst thing that could happen is that you end up doing what ScubyRoo did - rolling it due to the suspension setup being too stiff, the rear end skipped around the front on a rutted corner. Not fun!

I tried looking for a photo but gave up.

This thread by ScubyRoo is probably worth the read for your proposed setup Guyph.

Still no photo to show :(

Looks more like 35mm or 3.5cm ;)

You be best to leave this out of the Liberty and increase the lift block by 1-1/4 inch or 35mm
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

Davidov wrote:Outbacks dont have any lift blocks (at least in 3rd gen) it has a different body design that gives it about 20mm extra body lift, and then the strut/spring design gives it the rest. This is why they have a longer steering joint.

Dont forget to reinforce the rear spring perch if you go raised springs or even without id reccomend doing it anyway.

Yes they already have lifting blocks.

Basically what people do not realise, Outback is exactly the same body as Liberty, just added blocks and longer suspension (I'm sick of arguing with that topic).

This is my trailing arm spacers (home made) with 7mm offset for camber and 10mm for castor (to get the wheels in centre).
