Dual shock mod question
Dual shock mod question
Hey all, Thinking about the dual shock mod, Is there any reason why the second shock is mounted behind the coilover? as I'm thinking on my brumby when I do the L series control arm mod the struts will be angled forward at the bottom so wouldn't it be more benificial to mount it in front of the coilover?

If you still have the '83 front struts, strip them wash them out, and refill them with 20 weight motorcycle fork oil or auto trans fluid. Auto trans fluid is roughly equivalent to 10 weight fork oil. In my mind a far superior solution than adding extra shocks. See my previous post on this for more detail.

Hopefully I will soon have the answer to the L rear strut woes in the form of a Koni with Toperformances coil over height adjustable spring platform .
I don't know if it will suit a lifted L/MY but at least the damping will suit an ~ 200 in/lb rated spring in the std L diameter .
BTW 1st gen RX Turbos use 180 in/lb springs and wagons are supposed to be 196 .
