L Series 5MT D/R in MY instructions

To save retyping I have scanned and used mageshack.
THIS INSTALL WAS an 84 BRUMBY, appears some other MY body shapes needed shifter rod and floor tunnel cuts.
Used Brumby starter, whereas Ric used L Series starter.

I have some partial of the address of pics of brackets for tail shaft centre bearing fitment

And here is a pic of the threaded boss [as mentioned in Rics post]that I removed while fitted to Brumby. make life easier to fit box and remove beforehand. It hits up against trans tunnel at times.

That must only have to be removed if the car doesnt have a lift , or is only on some of the boxes. We have never had to remove any thing other than the swaybar as it may foul up on the box.

Thought the sway bar fouling was due to an EJ AWD box goin' in MY ?
Loved your centre bearing crossmember by the way. Have run mine as two flat bars with same thick bar on top side as reinforcement, bolted and rivets since '05 ~ 100,000km with no problems. Yet have not done much rock hopping stuff - more road stuff

If you have a look at the links , it shows how the sway bar doesnt have the room once the box is in . We had to make up droppers for the bar. But after awhile and a few more things fitted, it looks like they arent going to be enough. So we are going to have to remove them and the bar. The first link is a awd L series box . The second link is of a standard L box .

Rick, wondering if the sway bar is from an auto 4WD MY, but no rumour has it it is the auto 4WD MY sway bar that clears an EJ AWD box. Now , you have motorvated me to take a pic of my sway bar clearance

And it is just a bit closer to the box coz it is a stiff 25mm jobbie by Selby
Pretty poopy pic - but it is there!
