wheel bearing specs

Post by stevaroo » Wed Feb 10, 2010 9:10 am

just wondering if anyone knows the specs/bearing codes for the rear wheel bearings of a gen1 Liberty AWD??? I am trying to minimise downtime by ensuring SKF or someone can have the bearings that I need instead of having to pull it all apart before i can even identify the part number.
Thanks

They have bearing part numbers on the computer, last time i got a price from SKF and CBC they had the numbers on the system, all you need to tell them "subaru Liberty 1991 4WD model wagon"

on the computer eh? I have heard of these things.
I am impressed that SKF would keep a database of applications of their bearings. Specific automotive bearings perhaps? I recall the front bearings in my old L series were just garden variety deep groove ball bearings that you could find in a thousand different applications.
Thanks, I will give them a call immediately.
