You might as well buy them off ebay I bought a complete shaft from Auto one in Perth $180 it has warranty for 10000 kms and guess what the 10k is up and the outer cv is clicking I may as well have bought a whole shaft from ebay for $99 + $30 dollars shipping

Mine have unlimited 2 years from memory ... dunno how much luck I would have claiming though.

clean and regrease them for extra life, just cause they click doesnt mean they stuffed, use the black moly grease.

yeah I know that wrxer its just a messy pain in the arse to have to do it and Ive found this red grease (a heavy duty diesel mechanic told me about it) that looks like strawberry jam with glitter in it thats bullet proof and doesn't turn to slush

yep thats the easiest way to describe it

It is made by nulon and is a high tempreture bearing grease

and it looks like strawberry jam with glitter in it

but really we are hijacking this thread :)

go back to auto one you are legally entitled to goods fit for the job they are bought for, the fact they are just out of warranty would not necessarily stop you claiming for replacement, as you would reasonably expect around 120 thou out of the outer joint and a bit more from the inner,although they could argue the cv were not professionally fitted and therefore were faultily fitted.
ring consumer protection.
