Subaru Factory Service Manuals (FSM) - Every Model - USDM/EU
Subaru Service Manuals
Unfortunately the heading is from a USA so it does not include Every model Subaru as stated and YES!, it covers Australian models too.
The early 90's is the earliest I can see from having a quick squizz, but there maybe a Manual in the link to help you or a mate/friend in need.

My 2010 Exiga seems to be something of an oddball. Should I look under Legacy (it's called a Liberty Exiga), or Forester (which it mostly resembles, apart from a bigger cargo area)?

Try looking under a legacy as I believe it was based on the Liberty platform and legacy is what it’s called elsewhere!
