Hey guys im in need of some brumby front top hats.

They'd be any MY, just ensure they fit witht he rubber lump towards the rar side of the hole in tower for 4WD, think they are marked VAN/FWD with arrows so VANs and FWD are fitted with lump towards the front of the hole.
cheers steptoe

will i need the upper mount and the upper spring seat?
I have never seen the brumby upper mounts in person but have heard of people using them.
do you just use two out of three of the holes in the L series,
and with the rubber lump to the far side, as in away from the engine?
having trouble finding one

Unable to see the pic???
Do you have a lift kit? Could you convert the 2 bolt to 3 bolt via the lift block?

I'm on my phone at work so can't post a link.
And nah no lift kit I jut cut and bashed till 26" wouldn't scrub.
I was assuming I could maybe just use two of the three mounting holes? If they line up that is...
I was thinking today I might be able to drill out the L series upper spring mount so the strut sits inside the seat instead of under it to give me altitude more thread to play with.

You won't get an MY top hat to fit unless you either re-drill the suspension mount in the "L" or make an adaptor block. I must ask are you using a spring compressor.

Would re-drilling the L strut mount holes be a bad idea?
Yes I used a spring compressor to remove old suspension and install the Brumby struts and new springs.

I have seen the result of a kit fitted to some other make where a top was fitted with extra mounting studs, so new holes made. Kit came with reinforcement washers for those redrilled holes. You might consider doing same with reasonably solid washers

Frog had a new pair of OEM struts and I couldn't find any L series ones at the time.. You have a spare set RSR 555?
