I am ideally chasing 2 of the above, however will setttle for one lol :) or some one that can make a Triple core MY / Brumby radiator? Both my cars are used for heavy loads in a hot environment, towing, etc. Both run ok now but i want them to run cooler :)

I finally got around to trying a tip from a farmer in here pre 2005 site crash, and that was to hook up a heater hose via 16mm to 12.7mm brass adaptors and run coolant through an A.C. condensor. Is brilliant except for sustained highway driving when heat soak loses its effect, otherwise driving not even switched on an aux fan except extreme cases for short while.

Was considering a crappy bonnet and mount same on flexy heater hoses to bonnet, fan underneath if it fitted - Hummer style :)

Sorry one has air con and the other uses it for the WAIC

Is there no one in Townsville that can make one?? Natrad should be able to.

I was going to suggest the same thing as Steptoe plumb lines into the heater hoses and run an extra heater core with a switched fan, somewhere under the bonnet.

The car becomes non roadworthy without a working heater!

Ok so Jonno aka Steptoe said "brass adaptors" I said "plumb into" perhaps we both should have said "attach T pieces to the heater lines so that the heater remains operational..."

Out of interest what does the car do with extended highway use?

Unfortanately both my cars have condensers in use, one for air con, one for the WAIC system. :(

Runs about no different at 110 kph in 40 degrees C in the temperature taking boxes, or 54C in direct sunshine. Think at these speeds the unit in front of the radiator just warms the radiator rather than cool it. Was thinking to mount something down under tray just behind seats with stone guard, fan and conncted with heater hose. It has cooled again for another year.....

The price of making up a 3 core brass/copper radiator, I'd rather put to building a 2 core aluminium radiator.

fenix radiators in Sydney were stocking twin core alloy rads for MY last time I spoke to them. Triple core price ten years ago was sub 600 bucks!

I found out you can get triple core copper one made up here for $550. As the core is just put on old tanks.

Also RSR 555 i can fix kind of easily copper realatively easily on the side of the road...

Yeah Matt.. they are easier to "fix" on the side of the road but this is because they are soldered together and more likely to leak because the solder weakens. The aluminium ones are completed welded and as long as you use high quality coolant (which you should be anyway) then you'll never have an issue with the aluminium ones.

I know it isn't copper but it is rather bullet proof looking
