This means that bolt didn't want to come out. And is now butchered.. I've even had a mechanic with over 30 years experience give it a crack with no luck.will try the local wreckers today but if anyone has a manifold in good condition than I'm more than happy to buy one off of youse. Just text me a photo and a price and we can organise shipping etc.

There is a few different EA81 inlet manifolds - think EGR holes, PCV holes, carby stud space betweens...... Have not read or recalled your dramas but suspect it is the bolt shaft corroded away inside manifold more than thread in head. I now wrap the bolt shaft with thread tape in hope to stop corrosion bond

If you can take some pics of the manifold, I'll let you know.

I found drilling a 1/4" hole through the side of the manifold, to the bolt holes, allows any water that seeps passed the gasket, to escape out this hole. I also recomment large amounts of anti-seize on the bolts (threads and shoulders)
