I don't know if you know this or not but there is different internal bore sizes on them. If you want the biggest you need to get one off a 96-97 GTB manual or similar STi vintage. The throttle pick up is on a different side to the earlier ones.

Even with the earlier single turbo there is a slight difference in size between auto and manual.

Thanks, i didn't know that... im not after a bigger size one though. Im after one to bolt to the ej22 because the factory throttle body is too long to fit my intercooler behind it. I think the Ej turbo ones are shorter. Same bore size as an ej22 would suit me fine.

Maybe you could suggest the best one for me.... sorta would like the shotest available that maybe the Ej22 throttle position sensor can bolt too. (if not i might be able to rewire the turbo one in) Also with bore size i don't think it will make too much difference for my application although if it is slightly smaller or larger than the intercooler outlet i may be able to gain some spacce by making them overhang (if that makes sence).

Also am i on the right track thinking the EJ turbo throttle body will bolt to the NA ej22 manifold?

I have been onformed today that the turbo throttle bodies on EJs older than 1999 are about the same size as the NA ones. So looks like i need a newer type.... worst case my best mate Vidler can build me one maybe.

What year car is yours of bren? And by your post it sounds like u don't actually want to sell it.

Thanks heaps for that Andrew... any idea on year model?
