Re: Infinity Wheels

Sorry to say the quality wast'nt up to scratch - from reports recieved back, they had problems with cracking & warping ( too thin & inconsistant steel ) & poor sales ... They are not an exact copy of the Scorpion.

I think you can still get them from 'insert name' - but are no longer being produced. I've been researching for another wheel that I'm intersed in getting cast / milled - more to come when I get round to it ... :)

P.S. all the photo's that were FB linked no longer work, will see if I can find a work around to fix them ...

Cheers, Bantum ...

I’m so glad I grabbed my two sets of the original scorpions in the late naughties!

Still got them, one set on Ruby Scoo, the other set (now refurbished) on Redback Brumby

Interesting that when I visited an engineer to discuss my EJ turbo plans a looong time ago now, these rims showed rusty lines in the paint. The engineer said that was from the hub/arms of the rim flexing more than the paint could  and that’s with a 5mm steel plate used on the originals!!

No signs of that anymore and nothing is showing up in the almost two years since the powder coat job. I should do Ruby Scoo’s too… but got other plans for rims there. I’ll hold onto the scorpions as they may head over to an MY wagon I have in the wings - it needs a good clean up and an interior.
