1984 Subaru Leone MY wagon

Post by JP147 » Tue Nov 01, 2016 7:59 pm

I would have liked to fix it up a bit before selling but it has a steering issue that no one has been able to diagnose. Before I sell the good bits off separately, I will offer the whole thing for a cheaper price.

Parts include:

BYB 2" lift kit with ********* steering extension. Good condition, no damage or rust.

Set of 4 near new 27" Kumho mud tyres on new dynamic 14" -14 offset steel wheels. Have had very little road use and still have pretty much full tread. Spare is an older Kumho mud tyre on a new dynamic rim.
Also have a set of 4 14" steel wheels with road tyres.

Aluminium rear bar with swing out tyre carrier. Has trailer plug, number plate light, and LH tail light wired in. Also fits 3rd gen (L series).

Full large exhaust with unequal length headers and one straight through muffler. Slight rock damage but doesn't effect anything.

Weber 32/36 carburettor with manual choke kit and stock air cleaner box adapted to fit. Redline adaptor plate and large manifold (ea82 size).

********* diff bash plate.

Well maintained EA81 engine, less than 300,000km, new oil pump, all leaks repaired. Also good 4 speed dual range trans and diff.

Electronic ignition with new coil and ignition module.

Sun visor.

Lots of other good bits.

Bad points are:

Unfixable steering issue (small pull to the left after steering left).

Some body rust

Front bullbar and mounts are a bit bent

Slow leak from brake master cylinder

Sorry to say but I'm tempted on those tyres. I'd like to know if they would clear stuff on the scorpion rims. Things are tight up back.

I hope you manage to sell it whole!

Cheers

But not enough to be able to offer the full $1400 for all the above

But I hope you get your full price so I'm not tempted :)

I needed something bigger so now I drive a HJ47 troopcarrier. But the Subaru was a lot of fun and maybe I will get another one day.

I have tried the same size tyres on pug rims without negative offset. The fronts would rub at full lock.
With the dynamic rims there is plenty of room in the back, they even work without the lift blocks and the torsion bar wound up.

I will put an ad up on gumtree, if it doesn't I will put the car back to stock and sell it for cheap.

I am willing to sell parts but still keep the car complete and running.
I have had interest in the rear bar and tyres but since you asked first you get first pick.

Rear bar $400

Wheels and tyres x5 $500

Visor and home made mounts $30

Diff bash plate $80

Lift kit complete $450
