Item: Double Din Fascia/HVAC for 05-08 Liberty/Outback.

Description:Hi guys, I bought this gear from avoJDM when I first got my Outback. I never got around to getting a good stereo and now am planning on selling my Outback, so hopefully someone here can get some use out of it. Pics can be seen on attached link, but basically by separating the HVAC from the stereo head unit, you've now got the ability to pick your own stereo/nav system instead of being forced to use the stock unit. I should say I did a test run with an old head unit and it works fine, HVAC controls also. All told this cost me nearly $400 to get from Japan.

I also tracked down a guy in the US that custom made wiring harness specifically for these models of cars, which made changing the stereo a cinch. Apparently it was a bit of a pain previously, but with this harness it was a matter of clip together and you're done. I bought two harnesses in case I screwed one up, but it was so easy even I managed to do it. This was appx another $50.

Included in box:

Fascia and HVAC
Wiring harness x 2
Brackets
Antenna adapter
Wiring schematic/diagram

Condition: Excellent

Price: I'm asking $150 for the lot, postage to be worked out separately.

Location: I'm located in Upwey, Victoria and am happy for anyone interested to come and have a look. I'm also happy to take more pics if needed and answer any questions I can.

Contact: my mobile is 0423 007 272 or reply post/pm is fine.

Cheers, MJ.

Still available?
Why do you need the A/C/vent/fan controls? Can the standard ones not be used or are they fixed to the same panel?

Yeah still available.

The hvac and stereo units are integrated so you can't just remove the head unit and replace it with something else.

With this set-up you can, you just need to keep the existing hazard switch to use in the new fascia.

Hope that answers your questions. Any more just fire away.
