Ii it a front wheel drive or a 4x4. Those REAR brake hubs abd calipers and backing plates on a 4x4 are worth a fortune. Set went on Ebay at bargain price of $410.00 couple nights ago I paid $700.00 for them that is 4x4 backing plates ,hubs, and calipers. U can't get them anywhere. Gotta have the lot to get the big money.

Are you shitting me? It would have to be a very ordinary Vortex to be only worth $500! Is that a misprint? I would love a Vortex, but not good timing for me damn it. A tax bill of $18000 will keep me honest for a while, unless..............maybe I could sell something.......no pay the tax man first. What condition is it in WW1313? Not that you will have any trouble selling her, I would think any sane person looking for a piece of Subaru history would jump at that.

I remember quite fondly my father used to own one of these. Have you got any photos? A price range? Also a price of how much it may cost to import it to WA. Also, what sort of mechanical problems is it facing? Sorta want my younger childhood back :P

Hi and Welcome to AUSubaru Veldex
Pretty sure it would have been sold by now but most of the questions have been answered on the first post but seeing as you're new to here, pictures are here... (click on link)

As for transporting to WA, grab a quote from Wendy at Car Runners, so has looked after me a few times and is excellent

Now in the hands of a fella called Paul. Picture a nearly thirty year old Subaru that looks like it has never had a bath or any new component, maybe not even a spark plug ! Oil leaks, water leaks, exhaust leaks, power window disconnected from the rest of the world, bit a cancer. Love is in the eye of the beholder
