no cat on the extractors, probabily mounted a little further down the exhaust pipe or removed all together - apparently they're meant to be changed every 2 years or so...

I'd be wanting to know that it was defenately an AWD if that's what you're after... shame he chucked the old motor - rule of dad's shed = never throw out anything, cos when you do you'll need it... maybe my family's got a hoarding instinct...
