Expression of interest - For Sale 1982 Touring Wagon
This is extremely difficult for me to write. I will be writing the same thing on the Subaru Brumby (and anything MY) Group of Australia Facebook site. These are the only 2 sites I will be raising this as these are the sites that have meant the most to me over the years.
I would like to know the interest in someone buying my car and taking it to the next level.
Can supply any info you need to make a decision. No info will be hidden and I will answer any questions as honestly as I can.
Basics are-
-5th month 1982 Touring wagon (fairly rare?)
-Factory A/C, P/S, Electric windows, Touring wagon interior, -Fully gauge dash cluster (A/C has not been gassed in about 16 years but the system has never been opened in this time so should all work if regassed).
-Carby original, Manual Choke, very simplistic carby only minimal pollution gear on this carb.
2" Scorpion solid block alloy lift kit with NSW Engineering approval number issued and registered with the NSW RMS.
-Was an 4WD Auto but converted to a 4 speed manual, dual range 4WD box and matching diff. Also fitted with matching manual Touring wagon centre console. Gearbox sometimes clashes going into 2nd. New clutch fitted about 16 years ago but gearbox fitted at the same time but it was well used when fitted.
-approx 10 month NSW rego
-External rear window louvre (not currently fitted, will need fitting kit)
-Original front struts/shocks with manual screw lift as fitted in 1982
-still running points distributor
-alloy bull bar
-lots more to mention including various spare bits.
Obviously there are issues associated with a 35 year old car which I can inform those who are interested but I need someone to take it to the next level and be re-enthusiastic about its upkeep.
I am concerned that I can no longer physically/mentally/financially progress the car so it will end up sitting there, getting re registered each year and that's about it. It will NOT be parted out so please don't suggest this.
If interested let me know.
Very difficult decision as we have had the car for 20 years.

Sounds like too nice of a car to let go. Good to hear you've changed your mind.
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

Sorry to hear the difficulty you've put yourself through Cliff. Sounds like a treasured vehicle, well cared for. Hope it all works out.
In the meantime, I've linked some videos on the same year/similar year vehicles I found on youtube, they're in the Youtube Videos thread.

Thanks everyone, I would like to have a look at the video threads when I can give them the time they deserve.
Bit scary the direction I was heading by simply making mountains out of mole hills and how quickly it all escalated with me.
I have my crap together now so off we go again, full steam ahead.
