im starting to get really excited, the exhileration and excitement of the annual salmon run is starting to show its face. I cant wait to head to dunsborough and cast at the massive schools of about 5tonnes of 5-8kg fish.
This year my goal to get some on 4lb gear, should be very interesting!

You'll do an 8kg salmon on 4lb easily

yeh it shouldnt be too hard, so long i have the drag set correctly, and some nice strong leader should be ok. My main worry is the area i usually go is quike rocky and snaggy, and i wont really have the massive pulling power i'd have with a heavier rod and line.
