Just my thoughts

I have not time or patience for fishing, i'd rather be working on Ruby Scoo or another subaru.

Just my thoughts

I fish to give me a reason to work on my subaru - ie my subaru gets me into remote places no one else can get to (except for everyone else with a monster truck)

I also fish for food, as there is no seafood like fresh seafood, plus I like being outside which fishing helps me to do.

If your intention is to go out and catch fish then yes you will be bored, however if your intention is to have a relaxing afternoon lazing around doing nothing, then having a bait in the water is a very good side benefit.

Fishing has seen me crawling on my belly in a creek under blackberry bushes, I have 'rockclimbed' into gorges, I have walked for kilometres of highland stream - the fishing part is just for fun, not getting bored doing any of this stuff...

I enjoy fishing (sept when I get totally fried) because I don't know why but I enjoy chucking my little telescopic rod and taclke box in a bag and going for a ride seeing where I end up.
I catch fish then throw them back half the time because I think its not about catching them but having a good fight with them is the reward....

I like to fish any where any time. I do recall 4wd boat fishing many
years ago was a hell of a lot of fun. I had an 11 foot car topper tinny
with a worked 25 on the back of it. It was bloody fast and the most fun
in tight little creeks. Subaman and I used to see how far we could take
it before we had to get out and walk. We found some awesome isolated
pockets we could fish in that were too hard to walk to and very hard to
get a boat to. I had to duck under a tree that had come down in one
section I used to go to. The boat would not fit under if the tide was
any more than half in. Any way while laying down on the seats and
pushing the boat under the trunk of the tree one day, I came out the
other side and was face to face with 6 feet of snake. I near on SH*T.
After the initial panick I realised that it was only the outside bit of
the snake. With a nervous laugh to myself I thought, shit this is gonna
scare Grant when I bring him here next.

Me and scott grew up doing the exact same sort of thing brett, how fun is flying around blind corners and dodging logs up small creeks!

I currently have a 16ft glass runabout, but im in the process of rebuilding my old 15hp, building an offroad trailer and finding a good tinny so i can hit the creeks again. awesome fun

MMmmm Fishing. How good is a day where you spend 20 bucks on fuel for the boat, go catch your own bait then get sunburnt, eaten alive by mozzies and get lost in some creek you've never seen in your life. I love it. Not to mension the added bonus of catching fish cause nobody else is there.
