FS- Kayak w/ Sounder, Anchor, Rod Holders

Post by Ben » Sun May 17, 2009 4:07 pm

Have decided that I need to get a tinny now that my kids are starting to get old enough to go creek fishing with me so that means a couple of other toys need to go to finance it all.

Kayak is one of the cheap-as BCF/Anaconda etc ones that sell for $299.
  • Two rod holders one rear storage and a front tilt/swivel one
  • Humminbird Max20 Dual Frequency sounder with water temp
  • 0.5kg anchor that holds in even the strongest tidal current (in NSW!)
  • Double ended paddle with leash

These are by no means the worlds greatest kayaks but it does a great job of paddling around local creeks chasing bream and flatties. Quite stable and I have sat side saddle a few times. Probably could handle ocean work but there is more purpose built kayaks for that. You'll also need to provide a 12v source for the sounder. I used a cordless drill battery pack.

Total package cost me new around $740 (amazing how it can add up when you start accessorising!)

Asking $500 or would consider trade +adjustment for a cartopper tinny 10-12'
Located in Coffs Harbour. Dread to think what a freight company would charge to move it...
