Actually it'd be closer to 9000km. Bros and I did 8000km on our trip and that was without the last 500/600km as it was on the back of a truck :(

Actually, that'd be the way to do it - drive it over on the back of a truck, drop by my joint, we'll cut some laps and then it can go home (or stay here for a bit) on the back of the truck ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Here's the video of still images for those who haven't seen it or don't remember it:

Bros, El Freddo and Ruby Scoo go to Perth

I've put it in a link as I've been having trouble opening and viewing the imbedded videos. Very frustrating!

I really hope you were kidding Bennie.. put my girl on a truck?? you should die by death of a 1000 cuts..

That's a bit harsh mate! We could make a taught-liner (is that the correct term?) so it's protected from the elements and no one will know  I'll drive if you like ;)

Yes it was a great turn out that day. I wish I had taken loads more pics of your 22, I don't think I realised just what it was back then, plus I'm pretty sure I was simply overwhelmed about the cruise and about being in perth with Ruby Scoo! Awesome times!

I'll have to check that out and see what we can do - at the moment it's nothing money wise, but I should have Ruby Scoo done well and truly by then!

Being built at by Al from AMAuto's in Qld, V12 is lighter than a Subi motor and has about 285hp standard from memory, it should be evil like most of his creations.

Really how?
I can't really see a flat four being heavier than a v12.
2 Men can lift a flat 4, I doubt they could lift a v12.
Please explain this.

I'm sure you are right about a subi flat four. I asked the friend who linked to it, he said they were trying to put a six cylinder in and having trouble making it fit, the v12 was sitting right there, so they gave it a go and it fit really easily...

BTW it is a 1GZ-FE from a Toyota Century.

My guess is that engine was terminal anyway and curiosity just to see what would happen took over. At least its done in a controlled environment and and hopefully they cleaned up after as they said and not bush-bassing and leaving all the oil/fluid like some vids out in the natural environment.

Pretty cool flames:) And that engine lasted quite a while, I expected it was gonna die when it first lost revs... At 8.36, starting to knock away...

There was lots on Subaru's sold during the 80s due the the 4x4 tax free sales but today there is more Subaru's sold than ever before. Bit hard to tell as there is a lot more range available.
