MY/Brumby front guard info

Post by Cliff R » Sun Feb 28, 2016 8:56 pm

Can I please get some direction on the following.
In regards to MY/Brumby front guards were there any differences between any of the models, eg, Brumby, MY Coupe/Wagon/Sedan etc.
I am starting to look around for a front LH guard for the 82 MY Touring Wagon to replace the existing guard which has rust issues.:(
The ideal would be to pick up a silver guard (Paint code 15 from memory I think) but any guard at this point. I just need to know if I need to be aware of any differences between the cars.

The only difference would be between the very first produced and the very last, as the dies and tooling got more and more worn

No differences in Oz, but Make sure its from Oz - as there are slight differences / variations in hole locations for US & JDM models ( like lights / mirrors etc. ) They'll still fit but you might run into trouble with them.

Ciao, Bantum ...

Early units might have the radio aerial hole in the passenger's guard.

Cheers

Too true about the different markets = different holes; I got a drivers door for my wagon from a dismantlers (not self serve) the only one they had, was in silver, I figure must have been JDM or NZ import parts, no holes for the wing mirror! :o
