Thinking seriously about buying an externally mounted front windscreen sun visor that clamps onto the windscreen pillars and shades the sun at the top of the windscreen.
I know they are old fashioned but I kinda like them.
Anyone still running their MY/Brumby with one and I am interested in any pro's and con's.
It will be vented so air flow through wont be an issue.

New visor bought and installed.
I know these wont be everyone's cup of tea and I don't know what is was that attracted me to it but anyway, here it is on the 82 MY Touring wagon.

Now you just need an Aunger rear venetian to complete the 80s look :)

What I would really like is an internal venetian if they were ever available.
When we bought the car back in 1998 it came with an Aunger external rear window louvre but I took this off about 6 months ago as it was heading like all old plastic, brittle and becoming powdery. I could just imagine it falling off going along the highway.
I intend to keep it due to its rarity and it may go back on but I would love to get another one (in lieu of an internal venetian).
Here is the car about 5 years ago with the louvre before the car have the rear spare wheel carrier and with a previous set of 14's. Got rid of these rims as they refused to balance properly and the car always had a vibration.
Had another set of 14's after this that I sold to a forum member which I wish I still had now as they were excellent.

Only thing I don't like is 'wind catcher' effect - notice any increase in fuel consumption yet ?
Cheers, Bantum ...

Haven't had the car over 60 ks/hr yet.
When I do I will post my thoughts on noise etc.
Wont be doing any decent highway driving for a week or so though so fuel economy wont be known for some time.
