Trivia dept :

I hung on to my my leftover filler powders when tossing dried up QBond glue and just tried them mixed into some 5 minute araldite (the stuff that needs 16 hours for maximum strength) Mixed in the black powder and all went well, set hard as a rock and did not seem to interfere with things setting, though noted 60 deg C is where araldite can start to soften according to instructions. Got this repair under the bonnet on some plastic pollution stuff.

Any 2 part epoxy can be mixed with filler powder, beads or fibers without changing how it sets up. When I was trying to get that wreck of an L series roadworthy I used fiberglassing epoxy and cotton fibers from the boat shop, makes the resin rock hard and gives it structural strength.

A bit of trivia about superglues or CA (cyano acrylate) is if a super-glued join breaks, no point trying to fix it again with super glue since that stuff creates a sort of waxy residue when it goes off, preventing the next lot of super glue sticking properly. And if you ever get some CA "kicker" from a model supplies shop it makes the super glue go off in seconds, just don't breathe the smoke :)
