Need to freight a Jetski from NSW to WA..., HELP

Post by guyph_01 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 2:03 pm

Hi guys,

Anyone know a cheap way to ship a jetski from NSW to WA?? Cashy?
E-go depot to depot is too expensive.

Looking for alternate means...

Thx

The best way to do it is not to purchase a jetski from the other side of the continent unless you have freight arranged that you're happy with in the first place - or even better still, BUY ONE IN WA!!!

Sometimes I dunno about the economics of your bargain hunting - it certainly doesn't fit into my book of bargain hunting! It's a false economy!

Best of luck working it out! Holiday to NSW??

Cheers

A friend of mine recently got a motorbike sent interstate from Tom Price WA to Melbourne for about $600.

Only object I can think of that's of a similarish size to help you there. Seems easier to get one here.

Or, as said before,

Ride it.

Thats not a bad idea, I have seen motorcycles sent around Aus. The smaller motorcycle couriers are cheaper and are linked to fellow couriers that cover the next stage. They usually swap loads at big towns/cities along the way. No rush, its cheaper.
Worth a try.
L serious, still.

I used a motorbike freight company in QLD to freight down to melborune. I think it cost about 6-700. Not cheap but peace of mind.

What about some sort of rail freight? Where in the east is it trying to start from ? Maybe you need help to get it from sale point to a freighter ? ...and not funny comments like "ride it" - yet that was my first thought :D

Is there still sea freight from WA to Sydney ? That's how my granny got over here - though hope not same boat - it was 95 years ago !

How'd you get on with that rail freight?

Have you looked into E-go (I think that's what they're called)? They might be able to help you out.

I want to see a pic of this jetski - just to make sure it's worth it...

Cheers

Still keen to know what happened with this - did you actually buy it or were you considering it?

Hope it all worked out for the best in the end!

Still not bought yet. Yes E-go was the cheapest quote just under $1000.
The owner isn't in a real hurry to sell it. Gives me more time to think about it:)
