Gave mum a call and sent a voucher. Couldn't see her as she is 700km away. Get to see Dad today as he's coming down from up north so not all bad.

Nice present Paul! Wouldn't mind one of those engines in my Foz or L :P

I used to play golf, not so much now. Don't have the time and all my gear is at my other home :(

Na, H6 EZ30 3.0l in a Brumby would be good, been done before

Buy Ken's 1/2 cut and drop it in.. cheapest H6 1/2 cut I've seen for a while.

Nice effort Paul!

Really?? I've not seen or heard about this one! I know the one out at Rising Sun (SteveRisingSun) was the XT6 "EA" flat 6. It was basically an EA82 with two cylinders tacked on the back of it... Fair effort none the less!

A H6 in an L series would be lethal! I dunno where you'd put the radiator, that'd not be in the stock location that's for sure! Save it for the foz, well worth the effort in one of those!

Cheers

Yeah it was done in the US.

If I keep my L (undecided as of now) I will EJ it (Prob EJ25 Turbo as I can get one with all the wiring and ECU with blown HG for ~$600).

Putting the EZ30 in my Foz although it would be nice I would be worried that I could be dissapointed with the power from it. Is it really much better than the EJ25?? Plus after a new gearbox $$ is an issue.

The H6 is totally worth it. Bucket loads of torque right off from idle! Just ask Venom about it before he got his dual range sorted - he did all of his offroading with a single range until November last year! He got by simply with torque.

Cheers

It does go rather nicely but I doubt Mum will ever let me take it offroad.

It also requires a bit of touch up here and there, so today it's getting the "once over" interior treatment. Then some grease monkey needs to replace the RHF inner CV boot, then Mum can have it... I'm thinking the CV boot could take ages

Then it returns with a 6 speed once the CV boot has been replaced

Would love to but Mum wants it auto :(

Question for you Bennie (and others too) is I need to repair the front and rear bumper and then repaint, also repaint the drivers side sill panel moulding, so... do you think it would look better with the 2 tone paint scheme? My friend has the 2003 H6 Outback and his has it and personally I like it. Kinda makes it a true Outback in my mind??
