well here i go with an update........i think we have been told and tested for everything now.my memory is not great anymore and is not going to improve, when i had the bleed it was becouse my femeral attery had exploded and during the 14 hour opp i suffered lack of blood supply to my brain.the femeral attery is now a time bomb that i prey will not go off as they said if it does i wont servive, full of good news them doctors.i now use a cane when we go out to help with my balance.i cant exsert myself in anyway what so ever,if you get my drift(wink wink).there are some other things i wanted to put here but i forgot what they were,if i remember i'll post it.

if i can get out one thing from all i went thru its this, when they say to you there are ricks to the procedure your having done,PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN AND THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU SIGN THAT PAPER.

i use to listen.....well sort of and shrug it off saying oh thats what they have to say,and the old..she'll be right..well it was not right.just really think about it and when they say there are ricks involved just take a few minutes and ask yourself what you would do it what has happened to me happened to you?.

anyway thats enough from me and thanks for listening :-) .i'm just lucky and glad to be here for a bit longer.

So sorry mate, it's a shame they can't do what they did to me 2 weeks ago, they replaced the main artery above the knee in my right leg (after 2 attempts to put a stent in it) with about 350mm long reinforced 8mm plastic tube, seems to be working as I can walk more than 150m without my calf cramping because of lack of oxygen.
Hope all goes well & you can recover enough to be independent of the machines.

I have a heart like your right leg, it won't pump out enough oxygenated blood to sustain me for any length of time when exerting myself. It is enlarged on the LH side hence the problem and no fix but to take care of myself and don't overdo things.

Youch, bunch of sick old bastards aren't we, I'm off for a doppler on the ticker next week cos it played up whilst I was under the anesthetic, just a palpitation which I've had for ever but they wouldn't let me out of the ICU till it settled down, but since being diagnosed with diabetes 7 months ago they have virtually disappeared, I had a doppler about 3yrs ago & it showed nothing so hope it's the same this time.
Have you looked into vinegar for cleaning out the arteries, I'm gonna look into it a bit more as I remember the old gas heater used to clog up with calcium & 2min in vinegar would have it like new, may be worth a look.

Thanks for all the best wishes,it means a lot for me.now a bit of an update.l am lucky to be alive and have been told I'll never be 100%.due to what happened my life expectancy has been cup,I could drop dead anytime.I have permanent memory loss, balance issues and at times trouble speaking.this is the best part tho,the surgeon was negligent and did this to me by not taking the time to do a good job.I'm under a shrink and take a handful of super strong pain killers twice a day probably for the rest of my life.

I hope you can sue the bastard, are you able to get out and about in the car or pretty much confined to home? I'll take your name off the next triathlon list too while I remember ;-)

I'm about 6 weeks into a 4 - 6 month SE Asia trip & 3 days before I left they rang after my 3 month doppler and said they want to operate again......Too late mate I'm off, they left another message after I left saying they want to do it asap but the funny thing is is my leg feels fine, just got this ugly lump of hose under the skin that bunches up when I lift my leg, looks and feels bloody revolting too lol, All the best mate.

Yeah I can sue.I am getting a super insurance payout due next year.I don't know exact amount but am covered to a million.one of those boxes you tick never thinking you would ever receive it.....after yesterdays visit to specialist to have medical form done for insurance,I'm not as hopeful as I have been.let's just say things hit me with the Dr,s honest response to me asking how's my Outlook....he just looked at me and said I'm sorry but your f#cked.sort got worse from their.oh well.
