past rides?

Post by T'subaru » Mon Dec 21, 2009 2:43 am

Having only discovered ( and getting hooked ) on Subaru's in my late 40's I'm curious what some of you have had in the past, whether off road or not. Heres one of mine.....

Alright, when I got my license, I had 1980 WB Panel Van (windowless) it was a rusty backet, worn cam lobes and it lasted until the engine barely run, running on commodore transmission as I blew up the other transmission - dont ask me how. After the panel van went, I got XT130 Toyota Corona with 1.9 litre "starfire" Holden engine, Image
I hated that car, but at least it was given to me by my grandmother so it lasted me for 2 years until I got 1988 JE Holden Camira, it was ex Telstra car with high mileage. Wrote it off as I lost control due trying to aviod a roo and damaged rear quarter end, after this one, i got myself 1989 JE Camira wagon shown below...
Image
It was cleaned up, changed the interior from brown to blue from my old wagon, added FE2 suspensions from VL commodore, country pack rear coils, electrics, trip computer.
Along the way, got SLi2000 for nothing, cleaned up and drove it around for little while and sold it (didnt like the sedan type of car)-

Got myself an 1995 Liberty -

After I wrote off my 1995 Liberty, Got myself VN 1991 Commodore S wagon, clean up, drove it and sold it (because it was too thirsty, big to drive, missed manual and loved Subarus as Holden gave me the sh¡ts)...

awesome pic's Alpine Raven, and 32ford..a 68caddy! sweet. I have had more cars and trucks than I can list but I recall some years ago my friends figuring out that by the time I hit 21, I had 21 or 22 different vehicles. ( poncho ? ) refers to GTO ? So many model names Ive never heard of..cool. Somewhere I have pics of my fj40 with about 3 to 4 feet of air under the bfg's and some race pic's too.
