Stolen Cars from Wintersun

Post by subybrumby » Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:12 am

My heart really goes out to the poor buggers who had their cars stolen from the Wintersun Festival on the Gold Coast. We all put a lot of our time, weekends, money, blood sweat and tears into cars but none more than these poor beggars who have built them up from nothing just to have some low life take your pride and joy from you.

The cars were apparently stolen from an underground basement car park under a hotel on the coast and the same thing apparently happened last year. It would break your blooming heart.

One is a Hotrod pictured and the other was a HZ monaro both worth a heap of moola and probably virtually unreplaceable. The hotrod may have been seen heading toward Brisbane in the early hours, but my brother who is in the hotrod scene, reckons both cars would probably be heading for the chop chop shop, parted out and never seen again. Likely to be professional thieves working the festival. I got this photo from my brother who got an email off one of the hotrod forums. Hope they catch the bastards. Ring the Police if you see anything.

pretty brazen theft, the hotrod isn't exactly inconspicuous.
Hope they find them in one piece.

Anyone that chops a HZ Monaro for parts should be hung drawn and quartered.
