I heard a song on the radio the other day and i can only remember a few word from it, but cant find it anywhere.
Before the chorus, it sounds like
"Fire up the bass,... (3 beat silence) .... i'll hit the drums".... (3 beat silence)... cant remember the rest but goes for 12 beats
Then in the chorus "testify testify testify"
My words might be wrong, but hopefully you get the idea.
Cheers

Can you narrow it down, Male/female singer? solo, band?? rock, country???

Good suggestion Subybrumby
Rock, male singer, sounds a bit like The Living End or Greenday
I heard it on Star FM (a commercial radio station aimed at under 35s)

Triple j only have a "hitlist" of songs that they play alot of, but theres a website called j play or something that has all the playlists. Maybe they were a local or relatively unknown band, otherwise you'd think something would come up in a lyrics search. Maybe ring the radio station?

star fm only play about 20 songs maximum at any given time.... surely they'd play it again sooner or later? I used to listen to that station at work and I swear I'd hear the same four songs that were in at the time played minimum three times each every day... and not only that but the "ten in a row" was only ever eight at most, and now "eight straight" is only ever six at most... and they put ads in between the news and the weather to get you when you are still in "listening mode" taking the news in....
I don't listen to star fm at work any more (changed jobs twice since then) thank god!!
it isn't something by the killers? they seem to get a bit of mainstream air time. was it sort of orchestral sounding or more conventional rock? was it sort of dancish sort of rock (maybe bodyrockers)?
You've got me a bit intrigued...

I don't know why, but I heard a song from Ben Lee the other day and the chorus stuck in my head, do you think it may be one of his??? I don't know why I think this but there was some kind of repetition in the Chorus???
