taken from another forum:

This Blond ran over a mattress and decided to keep going.
The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to put a tear in the gas tank, the subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought this vehicle to its knees.

She had still managed to drive 30 more miles with a 60lb tangle wrapped around the drive shaft.

Blondie complained that the vehicle had a "shimmy" when driving at high speeds .

This is what the dealership found.............

She's lucky it didn't catch on fire, I personally fail to see how it didn't with a fuel leak and all that metal scraping against the underbody. Unless the fuel leak was added as an extra touch of drama, not that it really needed it.

edit: I guess it could have been a diesel. Do they have diesel in America, it would seems to defeat the purpose of poor fuel economy in the first place.
