Australia day plans?

Post by El_Freddo » Wed Jan 21, 2009 9:48 pm

G'day all!

As you should know by now, its the australia day long weekend. I'm wondering what others have planned?

I'm headed up the murray near Cohuna tomorrow, about to do a reckie home for the bbq that I some how forgot in my rush (i'm currently in benders) between work places. The L was packed as it was.
If anyone's up that way and see's Sunnie or Ruby Scoo, drop in and say g'day.

Hope everyone has a good and safe oz day ;)

Cheers

Bennie

Sounds good!

We'll have the J's cranked on oz day to listen to the countdown - got a spare battery for the car to get us home.

Just done an oil change on Ruby Scoo and Sunnie. Sunnie will be carrying most of the load since he'll have the camper van and all the gear in the back. Ruby Scoo will have 3 occupants and their clothing/bedding etc so nothing new for her.

Should be an interesting drive, visability has dropped due to the wind picking up some dust, not the worst I've seen here but still a bit hazy.

Fatz, pissa mate, seems someone has their prioritys sorted ;)

I'm almost off, just gotta pack Sunnie and hook up the camper, hope the indicators etc work...

Cheers

Here's a few snaps of my Oz day celebration weekend:

Early camp setup:

Image

The dickheads who thought it okay to camp less than 30m from our camp (orange tent is ours) when there was plenty of space for everyone (and an offical camp site available just down the road) - no camp etiquette!

Image

Sunnie and us fishing:

Image

A small cod (correct me if I'm wrong - Really don't have much idea about fishing):

Image

How to keep cool without going for a swim (oz day):

Image

Rest in the shade near the end of the boring leg from Pyramid Hill en route to Benders:

Image

Hope you all had an enjoyable and safe Oz day!

Cheers
